Air Group Range Circles?

Post by actrade »

For some reason, I can't get my air group range circles to display. I've doubled checked they are turned on. Task force range circles work fine. Obviously, I'm doing something stupid or I need to reinstall?

Edit: reinstalled, still can't get circles. Here are my command line switches, could any of these cause the issue? I can't understand why I can turn on/off TF range with F4, but not Air Group with F3?

"E:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -wd -altFont -cpu18 -dd_sw -multiaudio -pxf2560 -pyf1370 -deepColor -skipvideo -noFire

EDIT: ok, figured it out...have to open TF and click on carrier aircraft or on float planes to see respective ranges. Sorry for bother, but maybe this will help someone else coming back to the game or just starting and forgeting this lo.

Sigh...now not working again. Can someone have mercy on me and please tell me what steps you take to see your air group ranges, other than obviously using the F3 key? I don't remember having an issue with this before? Thanks a million.

EDIT: Ok, something definately bugged as when I restart a scenario (any of them, I've tried several), it works again for at least a turn. FWIW, I'm playing 1.28 fresh install on top of default game. Also, when I restart my save game, it works again.

Would appreciate if Mod could move this to bugs thread if possible. Thanks.

You have to first select the AOG and then right mouse click and select show range circles. Its best if you zoom out a bit first.

Also it depends on if you select a small AOG or large one, for example if you select JG 53, it will just show those air range circles for JG 53, if you select Luftwaffe 2 it will show the range circles for every sub AOG in Luftwaffe 2.

For example, not using the F3 key, just selecting an AOG and then right clicking and then show range circles.

I don't think that actrade is inquiring about War in the East 2.
