Don't use more than one SS per TF. Only one can attack per TF (game engine limitation) and they are double as detectable. Plus subs cannot refuel other subs or anything.

Multiple subs in same hex will have their chances to attack separately, but don't let subs linger.

I have become of some sort of "submarine connoisseur" in WitP-AE during all these years...as can be seen in my AARs.

In this game, it is good to be "slave of your habits", meaning...doing orders in similar sequence (mostly).

My cycle is:

PH (where turn starts) and ships & subs there.

Then Operations report and go to see your reinforcements and withdrawals (while into that, deal with bases and units in those bases too).

Then major ports and off-map ports (repairs and transport needs).

Then China -> Burma -> Malaya -> DEI -> Solomons -> South Pacific -> Central Pacific -> North Pacific

Basically going counter-clockwise on map after some main issues have been dealt with. It helps so you don't forget to do something even after bit of hiatus in game.

You are still bleeding Japan at Singapore more than you are being ground down, but that will change when you run out of supply. How much supply do you have there? Have you flown out any cadres of troops to rebuild the units if/when Singapore is lost?

Not really since one can buy some back from Units Destroyed in Intelligence screen.

I always buy back Canuck battalions lost in Hongkong for respect towards Canadians I met in A-stan

What I do is get 8th AUS out and not send 18th UK into demise, they are, in this iteration ("Fortress Java") both are in Java.

I have flown in LOTS of hopelessly lost Dutch units to Java and Palembang with float planes.

And about Singapore, I lost ability to supply it by ship for a while at least and they fell to 18k, losing 1k per day.

I might risk more ships, but basically it will fall.

E.g. I could get lot of Indian units into Burma, but they are from different commands and what point would be with self-imposed house rules if i'd not follow them...

As bit unrelated news, after last Thursday's CT scan, docs declared me on Monday cancer-free.

And thus 14 months of different treatments comes to an end (except control scans regularly, next in April) for now.
