1944-8-20: no b29 hits at tokyo but, b25s did some strat dmage going after manpower. Causes some fires. The causes me to wonder what will happen if the b29s hit manpower with at least 50% moonlight.

The allied seige of siagon has begun. DDs from SoPac have arrived to blockade sea reinforcements.

North of Vinh 3 IJA divisions are pocketed and close to being surrounded. Cought out of position as the allies used strat mode to motor from Bangkok across Thialand with airborne leading the way.

Hey Sir. Good to see you still on the Forum. Appreciate the thoughts!

The Cochran Household is now in full speed ahead towards retirement. No longer have the Subways--though I still work for the young lady who bought them. Just work three days a week right now. Very nice!

My wife and I bought an apartment building at where we are moving to. We want to be closer to our cabin and in a lot slower, less populated, less expensive state where we can kick back with like-minded people. We plan to build our retirement house so this move is probably still 18 or so months away.

My boys are both graduated with the youngest working on a Business Degree at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat. Oldest is about 21 and is still figuring life out. We are taking him to Lost Wages after his 21st. Should be a BUNCH of fun!

The caboose is still with us. When we move, we will loan it to the Colorado Model Railroad Museum so they can display it and do tours when wanted. That museum has become a big part of our lives. My youngest--Chris--has 1500 volunteer hours there (he is only 18) and I have been on the Board of Directors for six years. It has been a very good time and we have been able to give back to the community which is very important.

Those are the major events.

How about you Sir???

44-8-25/26:
1. Chicom and Indian troops advance down the may lay peninsula.
2. Saigon has fallen and allies advance to last IJA holdout at Cam Ranh Bay.
3. 5 jap divisions operate near Vietine.
4. 3 more IJA Division's spotted heading to Hanoi.
5. US 14th corp, veterans of Christmas Island, Guadalcanal, and bougainvillea, land in the Mindanao at Catobato.
6. Large IJN CV fleet has moved across my SEALoc to Catobato.
7. Biak to Catobato is 20 hexes or 900 miles. A big jump move forward. Earlier this month John had moved his CVs to the Gulf of Alaska. Johns foray North to Alaska "Opened the Door"...
8. We may have a CV battle next turn. I like to use DD raiders to disrupt enemy CV TFs. I note John has attached SCTFs to his CV TF to keep me at bay.

44-8-29/30:
1. No CV battle, but "THE THUNDERING HERD IS ON THE MOVE!!!" as SOPAC invasion fleet with 4CV and 10cve hole up around Biak.
2. 3 IJA equivalent Divisions cross the river at Hanoi. Chicom defense is under extreme pressure and 3 allied divisions at Haiphong endangered with a surround situation.
3. All heavy air in CBI ordered to ground support Hanoi.

Was going to comment that the ships sunk report was more like 10% of the IJN, but then noticed you had it for just "last turn". That's a great scoring for one turn but to illustrate the half sunk claim you really have to post the ships sunk report for "all dates" and at least 2 pages of the IJN side.

A better wording would be "half the surface ships brought to this engagement".
