Nomanda's newer "veteran" mod working well

Post by SgtShultz2 »

This is a newer mod finished last year I believe. It's different from the first "veteran" mod Nomanda made that Matrix promoted. Nomanda made big tactical maps with strategic maps that look like older versions of close combat. There are also more units per game, about 16 units on one side. Infantry units have more men. German machine gun units might only be three men now instead of the larger units in bloody first. He also made a 1946 version for each campaign so you can see what it's like with slightly more modern weapons. Unfortunately, I lost track of the MOD website where this is located. I would like to complement him on this new mod. Seems realistic. It worked well in two battles I just fought with my partner against the computer. So it seems to work fine with the Internet. No crashes so far.

Normanda made some YouTube videos of him playing it. But I don't know where those are now. Hopefully he sees this and responds.

Does anybody know if there's going to be any more new versions of close combat? I've seen no comments on this for several years.
