First turn Task Forces

Post by sven6345789 »

I have a question about the task forces already at sea on Dec.7, 1941.
Do you have a little variability as to where to place them? After all, several Taskforces (the CV's in particular) had left port some time before that date.
How is this factor displayed in the game?
Is it like that every taskforce underway has a port of origin, and that you can like place the taskforce in a specific radius around that port influenced by TF Speed and endurance?

The TF's have a special 1st turn move speed which lets them go for fairly long distances. This is to simulate the fact that they were are sea already, well on their way to the destinations for the morning of Dec 7th.

So where are the Enterprise and Lexington TFs on turn one? Are they in Pearl with a three turn movement?

No, they are at sea near Pearl, as they were historically. The 3 turn movement only applies to IJN task forces and only on the first turn, I believe.
