Ditto on the congrats to GP. He's always on the ball when it comes to NPs (either I or U variety)!

But the grump appears to have bled over from the Geezer thread!

The grump was mostly a way to say I felt grumpy with myself for missing to claim the new page, that I instead left wide open. And, of course, it was indeed inspired by the geezer thread.

Morning Gentlemen. Ladies.

Weather: Same as yesterday, and the same as before that. Overcast, a couple of degrees above freezing point. All in all boring, and depressingly grey.

Vitamin D deficiency has generally, and historically not been a thing in Sweden. This in part because the traditional cost had vitamin D in it, and part because we dress lightly when it is warm, and sunny, and that generally make up for the depressingly sunfree part of the year.

Edit: Thank you for the concern. :)

Orm, what does "the traditional cost had vitamin D in it" mean? I think some typos or dropped words happened there?
Meanwhile - good morning all! Temperature going above freezing here today - weird for January in these climes. One could spend a fortune on car washes in this weather because the main roads are heavily salted and sanded.

When you live above the North 45 latitude or below the South 45 latitude, during the winter the sunlight is not strong enough to provide enough Vitamin D formation. That is one reason why some places fortify certain foods with Vitamin D. In fatty fish, there is vitamin D so maybe you should gorge yourself on surstromming . . .
