We are here... honest!

Peter Why and myself have played a few games against, or helping, each other but due to me being a naughty boy and forgetting [:(] to post the reports our last battle will be our first post. Thanks to Peter Why for a good fun battle and for making sense of my jumbled notes on the battle and turning them into the report below. [:D]

Random teams in a small terran arena: river running north-south near west border, then east, near the north border. Steep hills clustered on both sides of the north-south stretch. Some cover and scattered hills over the rest of the arena, with a group of hills approximately in the middle.

Shadow Paladin:
Pariah - Medium - Medium Laser, 2 GMH2, 2 GMH4
Inferno - Light - 2 Flame Thrower, 4 NM7

Peter Why:
Dagger - Recon - Medium Laser, 2 Small Laser
Air Storm - Recon - 2 SRM4, 2 SRM8
Tracker Medium - EMP, 2 GMH2, 2 GME

SP started off at the east border, approximately in the middle. PW in the centre west, on the west of the river. SP's titans headed west, the Pariah to a central group of hills, the Inferno continuing towards the range of hills at the western edge.

After a quick aerial map check (the Dagger jumped up from a hill-top and saw the plain with the Pariah in the central hills .. and was hit by the Pariah's GMH missiles), PW's titans climbed into the hills, then south to approach the Pariah under cover. The recons led the medium titan. Both recons were hit with GMHs from the Pariah in the hills when they exposed themselves (the Dagger's Jock was badly damaged in one attack). Coming out of the hills, they encountered the Inferno. The Air Storm was hit badly by the Pariah's GMHs and the Infernos NMs, doing a small amount of damage to the Inferno in return, with its SRMs. The Air Storm escaped behind some burning trees, then the Dagger took over the fight with the Inferno. The Inferno jumped into battle, catching attacks from both its enemies, but landing ok.
The medium Tracker now climbed down from the hills and joined the attack on the Inferno, quickly knocking it down with GMEs, while, in the distance, the Pariah climbed a higher hill and rained missiles on the Dagger and Air Storm.

The two recons ran for cover from the Pariah, leaving the Inferno to the Tracker, but the Air Storm was hit in the CT and exploded, then the Dagger, damaged by the explosion, was also hit, and the jock ejected. In the meantime, the Inferno started to run at the Tracker in a death-and-glory attack, but jumped up to try for a (failed) DfA just as the Tracker arrived. (Inferno had made a very lucky 59/59 skill check to break its run ready for the jump when the Tracker decided to run forward!) They punched at each other, and the Inferno got in one more alpha strike before it was beaten to the ground, overheating, shutdown and very badly damaged.

Because the southern approach to the Pariah seemed to be too exposed, the Tracker moved off north behind the riverside strip of hills, taking occasional GMH hits from the Pariah on its hill top. (Near the end of the hills, the Tracker was forced to cross a lake between very high hills; it fell down and failed to get upa few times.) Then it headed east along the river edge, dodging and flaring desperately to avoid the missiles. The Pariah got a number of full-blown missile hits on the Tracker as it approached, bringing it down in water, and blowing off an arm with an ammo explosion.

On the final approach of the Tracker, the Pariah's medium laser took effect before the Tracker could bring its EMP and GME missiles into action and, with a few more GMH strikes, the other arm and CT were hit, and the Tracker's jock ejected.

Thanks. Note you can take a screenshot with 'P'. Converted to jpeg and resized they can be a nice addition to a report to show the field of battle.
