[FIXED] Map Lat/Lon Grid is not drawn

Post by Storm2025 »

1) Map Lat/Lon Grid is not drawn in Uncle Mark's Tutorials - 1 - NATO Surface Group vs. Soviet Forces, 1985
Steps to Reproduce:
1. The problem is reproduced when the map zooms out (camera 277 km).
Version 1.07.1527
I am attaching the photo and save file.

2) I don't want to create a separate topic, so I'll ask here.

Every time I start Command: Modern Operations
I get an error:

I don't quite understand the gist of the message.

Question: Does NahimicService affect Command: Modern Operations, music and sound playback?

This is my first posting here, please correct me if I have written or done anything wrong.
Thank you.

Hello and welcome!

The problem you are describing could indeed be caused by inteference from the Nahimic service. Please try to shut down Nahimic completely (either through its own UI or through Task Manager) and then try running Command again.

Another possibility: If you have a system with both an integrated and discrete GPU (quite likely if you have an MSI gaming laptop), it is possible that Command is running on the iGPU rather than the discrete one. To confirm this, enable "Show Diagnostics" on Game --> Game Options --> Map Display. Afterwards, the "GPU: XXX" description should appear on the top of your main map, like this: https://i.imgur.com/7GbFqxi.png

If this shows "Intel something-something graphics", you know that Windows has pinned Command to the iGPU, which is not what you want. In this case you can force Windows to use the discrete GPU for Command, either through the NVidia control panel or through Windows itself.

Hope this helps.

I have a lenovo laptop.
The game runs on a discrete rtx 3060.

After disabling the Nahimic service and rebooting the system, the problem is still there.

I repeat, the problem appears, if you zoom in hard on the camera, zoom out the map, then the coordinate grid disappears, the coordinates themselves remain (6W, 5W, 66N, etc.)

Maybe this is a problem to Uncle Mark's Tutorials - 1 - NATO Surface Group vs. Soviet Forces, 1985?

I'm sorry if I explained the problem badly.
I do not speak English very well.

Thanks for your help and advice.

Can you check if this issue appears also on other scenarios? Thanks.

Good afternoon. I checked the other scenarios. Map Lat/Lon Grid is drawn normally, as it should be.
The problem seems to be only with Uncle Mark's Tutorials - 1 - NATO Surface Group vs. Soviet Forces, 1985.
This is strange, as I understand the map is common to all scenarios.
Can you please tell me if anyone has tested this script, have you encountered this problem in this scenario?

What my i9, nVidia 4050 set up shows...

But a couple things:

1) I am running 1544

2) I have AA turned on and a few other settings in nVidia control panel to smooth out the lines.

Thanks for the reply, could you please tell me what nvidia settings you use for line smoothing?
Maybe the correct nVidia control panel settings will help me.

Could it be because its close the artic or top of the map. Weird map stuff seems to sometimes happen there.

Version 1.07.1566.

The problem with Map Lat/Lon Grid in the Uncle Mark's Tutorials - 1 - NATO Surface Group vs. Soviet Forces, 1985 has been resolved. Now the coordinate grid is drawn correctly.

Dimitris and thewood1. Thank you very much for your help and advice.
