Sicily '43

Post by tcarusil »

I am playing the Sicily '43 scenario and have encountered an unusual situation. Hex 63,31 contains one german unit and hex 65, 31 contains two german units. I have surrounded these units, but I cannot attack them with the surrounding units. I also cannot get the attack planner to appear when trying to attack with the ground units. Even at the start of a turn with rested units, I cannot attack. If I plan an artillery attack, though the attack planner then comes up, I am unable to add the surrounding ground units to the attack in that planner. They all have a red X through them. Any thoughts on what is occurring? Thanks.

Hex 65,31 is shown as badlands/hills. If your attackers are mechanized, you’ll first need to dismount them. The other option is to attack only with foot infantry. Looks like this scenario has quite a few badlands hexes, and badlands are hard to see when overlayed on hills.

That's why I use more visible badlands tiles.
If you're STILL making Panzer IIs after seeing your first T-34... you're probably going to lose.
