Skirmish mode and historical scenarios

Rule the Waves III is a simulation of naval ship design and construction, fleet management and naval warfare from 1890 to 1970. and will place you in the role of 'Grand Admiral' of a navy from the time when steam and iron dominated warship design up to the missile age.

I saw brief mention from the dev on a Slitherine video that this was planned. Are there any details on it yet? Anything more than just a plan at this point?

Those features (and likely more) are indeed planned for in the first expansion, sometime next year (2024).

Well thats good to know. Anyone have an idea on timing? I'll do my own searching also.

edit: Saw the video and it stated mid-2025. Very excited about it.
