If there is a dotbase that you own and you mine it and put an ACM there does it work, looks like the minefield is disappearing despite the ACM

You need at least a level one port for the ACM to be effective....

If you think about it ACM operate while disbanded and you have to refuel/rearm regularly. Although dot bases can refuel they cannot rearm. This used to be a combined feature so not noticed, now it's separate with a left and right click.

Another separate point on this, TF have to be able to dock to do either and as theirs no dock they cannot re-fuel/arm at a dot base. This raises a slight problem for me in why can they refuel when anchored (disbanded) and not when in a TF, after all the same lighters would have to be used?

I'm going to add something else. Why don't minesweepers in the game operate while disbanded like ACM? It is a similar function. I was going to say all but that wouldn't work for the big sweepers so maybe just AMc.

Ranger Joe insists that AMc do automatically detect and clear minefields when disbanded. I haven't monitored closely enough to confirm or disprove that assertion.

That is what I remember a developers stating.

In my games a AMc will sweep mines only while in a TF.

They did and that was the intent, but to the best of my knowledge this was not implemented (I'm guessing due to time). As Dr. Hal states, AMc's will only work in a TF ......

They do not sweep while anchored. All minesweepers have to be in a TF AND undocked to sweep. I've just retested it and also found that a m/s TF can only find minefield if undocked. This is like all TF only with much less chance of getting their ass blown off.

I point you to this post https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... =minesweep from May 23 were I carried out extensive tests on minesweeping. I have seen no evidence either playing or in written rule changes that any of this has altered.
