I Don't know if this is a bug or a bad install but I am in Turn 6 and have not gotten any AP!

Where do we find 1.2 or 1.3? I saw the 1.1 in this thread but can't find either of these versions. Thanks for making this scenario! I always played the 1942 campaign in war in russia and wite 1 because I am too lazy to do the invasion over and over!

Howdy folks,

happy to bring not one but two updates (merged into one) of the 1942-1945 GC. The changes are massive and are mostly based on the only PBEM AAR going on Discord. Mainly, the Axis player is now forced to LARP really hard in the opening stages of Case Blue, as there are a series of events that are active until September and that... well, it's up to you to find out
Without further do, here is the full changelog:

- Added level 4 fortifications in 201, 129 (Velikie Luki) and along the southern sector of the frontline

- Improved event description about the formable Rifle Corps (visible to the Soviet player only)
- The "Lifting the Siege of Leningrad" now grants the Soviet player a new formation of the 21st Tank Corps (in Volkhov)
- Added the event "The Liberation of Velikie Luki" that grants the Soviet player 3 new assault SU and 6 Rifle Divisions
- Added two events providing Soviet air interdiction over several map zones, to force the Axis player to LARP in 1942 (and to prevent the AI from teleporting units at will)
- Added several events called "You angered the Führer!", triggered if the Axis player does not LARP in 1942
- Added "The Evacuation of Sevastopol" event, which moves and locks to the SR (most of) the units in the Fortress of Sevastopol (they will be disbanded anyway)
- Added "New opportunities arise" event, which triggers on turn 15 and unlocks the hexes around the Lovat river
- Added "The Collapse of the Southern Front", which has a 50% chance of firing before turn 3. It moves and locks to the SR 9 Rifle Divisions that are supposed to disband anyway between turns 4 and 6
- Added the "Panic Amongst the Ranks" event. It is triggered by the Axis taking Sevastopol and Voronezh on turn 1 and fires during the first Axis logistics phase (turn 2). It moves and locks to the SR the 199th, 255th, 296th Rifle Divisions and the 5th Cavalry Corps and increases by 25% the chance of "The Collapse of the Southern Front" event from firing
- Added the "Stalin's Countermeasures" event. It is triggered by the "The Collapse of the Southern Front" event and moves to the map the 389th, 394th and 402nd Rifle Divisions. It further provides 7 fresh Rifle Divisions near Moscow, that could be deployed against Rzhev or to the Southern Front
- Added the "Axis player introduction" event, which gives some tips for the Axis player (mainly how to LARP and to avoid nasty consequences)
- Added the "Soviet player introduction" event, providing some instructions on how to avoid abusing the new mechanics when facing the Axis AI
- Added the "Fall Blau Successful" event. It increases German Ground and Air Morale by 10 and reduces Soviet Ground and Air Morale by 5. It is triggered if the Axis controls Stalingrad, Astrakhan and Baku by the end of 1942
- Added the event-based mission about the Brandeburger Commandos and their dash to reach Maykop and Grozny (for the Axis player/AI)

I noticed that the German player is prohibited from occupying Soviet territory north of Voronezh (because the Soviets would withdraw from the salient, which would also free up German reserves). Ideally, if the Soviet AI adopts a defensive strategy (which is likely), Germany can also withdraw its front-line troops, which is fair to both sides. However, I encountered a situation where the Soviet AI adopted an offensive strategy in a turn in July 1942, which forced me to maintain troops in front of the salient. This is the first problem I want to express. The second question is, are German troops somewhat weaker than Soviet troops? In the aforementioned turn in July 1942, the Soviets were able to close the Demyansk Pocket, hit the Hungarian army across the Don River, and repel the German armored divisions that closed the encirclement. But historically, the Soviet army was defeated by the German army and relied on rivers and fortifications to stop the German army.

The decision to force the German player to go historical (at least until September) was based on the only public AAR available on Discord (in which the German player escalated things beyond my imagination ) as well to reward the German player to trying to reach the Caucasus oilfields (with the Operation Shamil I and II event chains).

Concerning your first observation I, unfortunately, never experienced that, in my previous tests (run on both Normal, Challenging and Hard). Maybe it's because in all my test runs (6 so far), I have always been lucky in triggering the "Collapse of the Southern Front" event. I believe that the AI never attacked my Don flank as it needed to fill the gaps further down its lines.

Regarding the weakening of German troops: I did reduce their NM but increased their overall experience. This should make them combat worthy without having the low MP cost when entering into an enemy ZOC. I might however do some tweakings to German NM, experience and Soviet fatigue in the next update, based on reports like yours

The strategy I have so far is:
- to hold Demjansk (for the extra 5 AP/turn) is to send the 126th ID and 20th MD into the corridor, while re-joining the 30th ID (by abandoning Lychkovo) and the 290th ID. So far, the Soviet AI never dared attacking the eastern flank of the pocket (at least until T9, when I stopped my tests).
- to hold the Don flank, I move the 11th Army from Crimea already on T1 (Sevastopol has been nerfed to the ground and always falls with just 3 German ID and the Rum. Mountain Corps). By T4, it should be around Kursk and ready to support the Hungarians.

In the TOE section, click on the SHOW TOE(OB) CHAINS and select ONLY BUILDABLE to switch to all chains, then you could click one of them to make it buildable.

That actually works. Only for ground units, but better than nothing. I hope someday air groups could be added too.

I tried to set standard scenario with more German/Axis additional forces available for admin points. 10 AP for kampfgruppe, 5 for battalion, 2-1 for smaller units. I am very happy it is possible to restrict is only by AP, no artificial number of units. Only the resources (man, guns, tanks, fuel) should be the limits.
I played it a while and it looks promising.

Yes. Just keep them in the AR for some turns and they will gain EXP and morale over time. This is hard coded in the game, and I can't change it.
