Strange torpedo attack

CL Boise took one torpedo from a Kate bomber.

I have watched the combat animation, and there was no massive explosion damage message. The combat report listed" heavy damage" next to CL Boise.

Since CL Boise has better belt armor and durability than CA Houston I expected 20-30 major flood damage.

Next turn I try to find the Boise TF, but the code disbanded it into Masbate. So I open the Boise's ship screen only to see this. Disheartening.

The torpedo found a soft spot. Get what you can fixed and move her to a better shipyard....GP

Try to remove the air unit, disband it if you have to do so to save the aircraft.
