The test I carried out seem to confirm that and it should be true. If you moving then you are generally using more open areas, roads etc. You attack a moving unit it normally reverts to combat mode, in other words it takes cover but it still generally keeps moving, but much more slowly.BBfanboy wrote: Sat Apr 26, 2025 4:34 pm Not sure if it makes a difference, but if I plan to do ground attack I click directly on the LCU icon when I set my Recon missions.
I think (from past discussions) that if the LCUs are moving they are easier to spot. That might mean that sitting in a base with forts gives them lots of cover.
Note that in these tests I did not use any recon, just relying on the unit itself and they did loose contact with the target when they stopped moving, in any mode or sometimes when they split, reducing unit size. A dedicated recon unit would reduce this risk.
