Destroyed Pool.
(1) Never as the axis player; specifically German and Italian, have I ever had these large of losses this early in the game and been stymied knocking France out this late in the May/June turn.
(2) If competitive (i.e., vs another player, instead of solo), it would definitely warrant a morale check.
(3) Being solo, though, I'm interested in how much I can turn things around for Germany, Italy and even Japan and how long France will hold out.
(4) This game is a 2nd or 3rd restart after prior solo "rage quits" in which I got Germany WAY off track.
(5) Going back to my introduction, I vowed this time to play Germany more conservatively and not allow that to happen in this iteration.
(6) But again, I was tempted by fine weather prior to the arrival of the German para corps to attempt to get a head start on Case Yellow.
(7) And again, I got stuck digging the Brits out of Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
(8) As Germany, and Italy, I was looking for better than average luck to turn all that around this impulse; but instead got worse than average luck, which made the situation much worse.
(9) I wonder if I'm just a lousy axis player, a much better allied vs axis player or just a lousy player in general?
(10) No matter, I'm enjoying this counterfactual iteration and will continue on for now at least.
