Ok, there is an undisclosed island in the pacific...

I have managed to get an ARD to the island but it was damaged in transit and repairing.

Also at the island is a damaged carrier.

For some reason I cannot get the ARD to start repairing the flotation damage of the carrier.

The ARD's capacity is 20,000 tons and the carrier is 16,000 tons so that part should be good.

I have approximately 19,000 supplies at the base (could it be lack of supplies?)

The base is a size 1(0) Could it be lack of size of the base?

Could it be due to the ARD needing repair before it can perform the job?

The carrier has a good bit of systems damage and will take 73 days to get the repairs done without affecting the flotation damage. Is the carrier currently too damaged to be repaired by the ARD?

Let me know if you have the solution to the issue. I can sail back to pearl with 42 flotation and probably make it but would rather give the Ranger a bit of a better chance.

It also depends upon the version that you are playing . . .

Bring in an AR to help repair the minor damage. Also, consider relocating both vessels to a base with at least a 1(1) port if you are playing an 1126 version or earlier since Naval Support at that base does not work.

If there are naval air or marine air units that can be resized, that can be done while the ship is in that condition.

Consider having an ASW TF patrolling the hex just in case any enemy submarines decide to visit . . .

You could also just repair the minor damage, then send the carrier to a base for the upgrade . . .
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o
