German 41-42 blizzard losses

Post by PzFaust »

G'day i would like to know what losses the german troops suffer in the 41-42 blizzard?
Do german troops take losses while in blizzard?
If so, what is the expected losses and is it a lower rate if in a city or hq?
Is there a place they can be put out of harms way? eg west of poland?France? England? ohhh sea lion is the next expansion!!

in dec 1941 blizz ONLY each german division loses 5% of it's inf per turn. i don't think the losses are enough to pull back everything to avoid it, especially since german divisions are usually somewhat depleted at this point. but being in a city hex nullifies the 5% hit, so you can throw everything onto cities if you are that desperate to avoid losses. i think the blizzard loss line is the german starting point - west of this germany has no inf blizz losses. a more experienced player may be able to give more specific info, as i got most of my info from the version readme!

i can note as well german battle casualties could go way up as well in winter if you don't resupply every korps every turn since it seems like german units in blizz get a -25%/-30% readiness penalty. if left unsupplied a german korps will hover around 25%-35% readiness in blizzard conditions!

If you took Leningrad or Moskau you dont need to think about the Blizzard. The Soviet counter attac will be weak. Take position at places with a good suply level.
I think there is a penalty if you move your units during Blizz ( but in my first game I have destroyed 2 Soviet units during the Blizz ..that was funny[:D] )
