Ship stuck in Repair help needed
Hello,
The Wasp took a little damage and instead of sending her to Sydney i sent her to Brisbane. Repair was 19 days as she is to big to put in the shipyard i left her in readiness state. 19 days has come and gone for the last 10 days she is and has been at 1 day for repair, damage is floodong 13,,i can not for the life of me get her out of Brisbane, i keep playing more days but she is stuck there with a 1 day repair that never ends, how do i get the Wasp out of Brisbane??
Thanks

Re: Ship stuck in Repair help needed
Their's no pic of ship or ships under repair but my quess is it's major flood damage.
To repair major flood damage requires a shipyard (dry dock) and the ship must be able to fit in it. To fit the shipyard size x 1000 must be greater than the ships tonage. The Wasp is too large to fit into Brisbane's shipyard (10) therefore no major flooding repair will be carried out.
It could aslo be the number of other ships are in Brisbane being repaired, the more ships above the yards capacity (10000 ton) the slower it will be.
You should however be able to move her to Sydney which does have a shipyard large enough.

Thanks for the response. Wasp is only ship in Brisbane under repair,,also no ships being upgraded. Its has been stuck under repair with a repair time of 1 day for approx 30 turns now. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get her out of brisbane so i can put her in a proper shipyard for repairs.

What repair mode is the Wasp in? Drydock, pierside? You mention you left it in a readiness state which means it should be able to leave port at anytime regardless of remaining damage.

Change her repair mode to readiness mode.
I suggest that you search for the thread made by Alfred on "Repairs" and read that.

Pierside,readiness,Critical That is the status.
Though it has been a while since ive been on the forums i have read a few articles i just cant figure out how to get this ship out of repair mode so i can send her to sydney,,surely she wont sink with a flooding of 13 before she gets down the coast

No. I don't think she would. 13 is a rather minor level of flooding if there is no system damage. 50 or above is where it gets pretty dicey moving a damaged ship.lexo1014 wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 2:05 pm surely she wont sink with a flooding of 13 before she gets down the coast

Since you won't post a picture of the ship, I won't help you.lexo1014 wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 2:05 pm Pierside, readiness,Critical That is the status.

Pier side and readiness are two different modes in the repair queue. If it says "pier side" under the Repair Allocation column on the Manage Ships Under Repair screen, then you cannot move that ship out of port. You need to click on the "Pier Side" in that column and change it to "Readiness" (you may need to click past "Repair Ship" and "Shipyard" to get back to "Readiness") before that ship can be moved from the port. Keep in mind that taking a ship out of pier side to readiness mode normally changes the status of the repair from "1 day" to "3 days" to simulate the time it takes to prepare a formerly damaged ship to get under way.lexo1014 wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 2:05 pm Pierside, readiness,Critical That is the status.

She sinks when flooding get to 100, 13 is nothing other than an irritation. At sea it can increase, how quickly depend on many factors the main ones being speed (set it to cruise), distance travelled or if hit by something else. The distance from Brisbane to Sydney is nothing but she could easily go to SF and not sink or even gain more flooding.lexo1014 wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 2:05 pm Pierside, readiness,Critical That is the status.

Just take her out of repair, put her in TF and send her to Sydney.

Re: Ship stuck in Repair help needed
Has anyone ever thought that the game might be coded such that if any PH BB survivors are sent USWC with anything over ~20, one has just got to go down? Perhaps I imagine, but it seems its just bound to get one to cover Oklahoma. Eh?

If I remember correctly, the USS Oklahoma was going to be scrapped.dasboot1960 wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 10:13 pm Has anyone ever thought that the game might be coded such that if any PH BB survivors are sent USWC with anything over ~20, one has just got to go down? I have never seen nor heard of any manditory sinkings which is what you seem to be suggesting in the game. There are manditory withdrawals that result in the loss of PPs if they are not carried out but no US BBs.dasboot1960 wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 10:13 pm Has anyone ever thought that the game might be coded such that if any PH BB survivors are sent USWC with anything over ~20, one has just got to go down?
