Limited Computer Control

Is there a command that will turn over certain areas (e.g. China) over to the Computer? I seem to remember when the game originally launched this was possible.

Thanks

As far as I know only by scenario selection by selecting those with "quiet China" in the title.

No there isn't. That was a feature in the 2004 release of Gary Grigsby's War in the Pacific. However, War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition has never allowed computer control of various theaters and commands.

Although this is an air/sea oriented game, key to an early Japanese auto-victory is taking China (of course sinking almost all Allied CVs early helps). I find the China theater very interesting......
