Q about Ground Scales

Post by Cannon_Jackal »

Hello,

I have a question about Ground Scales. I found this in the description:
Ground Scales: There are two ground scales in the game. The operational maps use 2500 meters (~1.5 miles) per hex. The tactical level city maps of Stalingrad use 500 meters per hex.
How does it work? Do these 2 ground scales work simultaneously - like, I can zoom in/out of tactical/strategic scale? Or is it different scenarios?

That sounds intriguing, but confusing as well.

Another question about Steam and standalone versions - will these be identical? Or is it better to get the Steam version?

Thank you for your replies and comments

Hi,

No, different scenarios have different scales. So the battles outside the city are 2500m per hex but those scenarios inside Stalingrad use 500 m per hex.

You CAN zoom in and out on the map of course, but that does not change the area that each hex represents.

And yep, the Matrix and Steam versions of the game are completely identical.

Cheers,
Brian
