Lovely weather today. Time to bring out the pagan in oneself, and celebrate the arrival of summer. Just remember, it is important for the children so take it easy with snapsen (the vodka belt memory is strong this night). :)

Yes. Every year. A couple of quotes below from wiki. And reading that I fail to understand how any Swede could rate any tradition higher than Midsummer celebration except perhaps Christmas. The celebration goes back into Swedish pre-history, and certainly back into pagan times.

Midsummer is one of Sweden's most important traditions, second only to Christmas according to some, and is widely celebrated. It is more of a gathering for friends, rather than a family reunion like Christmas.

Various traditions and customs are practiced during a Swedish Midsummer, including ending it with a skinny dip at night and to place flowers under the pillow.

Not many at all. They are sleeping happily after the food and all the snaps. :)

Good morning folks!

Another summer is upon us and I passed another birthday test two days ago, and 84 years ago today the Germans invaded Russia.
