Strat Command Europe Save games

I have noticed that my games for some reason are off after I save them or not saving? I am in the middle of a Case Blue scenario and when I clicked on the north afrika area my units were not where I saved them last time. something feels odd with the save game function.

I am playing on Steam and long time player

I saved a game yesterday and when I started the game today the saved file wasn't there!!!!! Whta the heck is going on with the saved games for single player?

Any suggestions?

Reinstall game?

Not sure, I can't think of any reason why the game would do this, maybe a good idea to contact Matrix Support as this might be something to do with cloud saves on Steam as saves are in the same folder for Matrix and Steam and GoG etc.
