[WAD] Missing Mission reference points for Scenarios?

Post by BrianinMinnie »

Hi

It looks like many mission reference points and or patrol waypoints are either missing or not appearing in editor mode.
It's been a while since I've looked at this Scenario but aren't there preset patrol areas for the highlighted missions? also for the premade tanker track and triton missions. or do I create my own for each of the missions in the editor?
My sample below is for stand alone scenarios\South China Clash, 2015.
I downloaded and installed 1676 yesterday with no Issues or error messages.
I believe I've looked at all settings but I could have missed something.

Thanks

Brian

No idea if it is related, but a LuaHistory file is created with this line.
Function:ScenEdit_RunScript (0) Error:File path 'DeveloperMode.lua' not found

That's because you're opening the scenario in Editor Mode, and that scenario can be played from both sides, PLAN and US

In Player mode, if you choose US side, all those missions will be deleted so you can do your own missions. If you open the scenario and choose PLAN, then switch to US Side, you will see the missions of US with the correct RPs

Thanks for the explanation.

Watching this CMANO old video of this very scenario, they were displayed (player mode it seems, never played CMANO), perhaps is what Brian remembers. So the scenario or the game changed in this respect since then?

Maybe cmano didn't have the option of "remove missions if player select this side", also there might be some lua involved in create the RPs that won't trigger if you select US or Plan

Set inDevelopment to true using the Lua console. The setup script will ask you whether to do the various startup things, including spawning missions (or not).
