The addition of scenario walkthroughs is a really good and useful idea. As an admittedly inexperienced player, I decided to put on my "never played this before" hat to test how well documented they are.

I've played 2/3 so far, the second one without issue - but for the life of me I can not succeed at Wooden Leg by following the written instructions. After trying 3 times incase I missed something it's failed every time by playing as documented.

Is someone else able to check this - playing only as documented in the manual, and not using your own extra experience from?

Wooden Leg is a good scenario to start with and can help acquaint a new user with aerial refueling, which can be tricky. I recommend you take a look at this thread.

It might help a little. Happy hunting.

Are there any takers on picking this up? A couple people reached out and I sent docs, but have heard nothing much.

I've spent a fair few hours updating the version you shared with me, to try and improve overall polish a bit and also now added 1.08 changelog/release notes. I'd like to improve the cross-referencing on an offline copy (it doesn't work well on the online editor). Has there been any more changes that haven't been shared in the online copy already?
If not, I'll try to do something with this and share an updated version here when I get a chance

New revision of the manual that I've been working on
A relatively insignificant amount of content; but a lot of quality of life improvements which should make things easier.
I wanted to get this out now - as I had to take an offline copy for the major changes and am unlikely to have much time to work on side projects for the next while. I will share the updated Word doc with thewood for anyone else that want's to contribute.

Changes in this revision:

- Added significant amount of cross-referencing throughout manual. Any cross-references should now include both a section and a page number for that section to refer to. For PDF users cross-references and table of contents should be clickable hyperlinks
- Corrected table of contents - Content was missing and page numbers were significantly incorrect in places
- Added section information into the footer of each page - Due to the pre-existing format this is difficult to do; but is now reasonably accurate.
- Major spelling, punctuation and grammar pass
- Updated several low quality images with higher resolution versions
- Corrected margins at several locations - Text no longer runs off the edge of the page
- Corrected font and formatting of text in several places be consistent type with rest of document (a lot of other places remain)
- Added release notes for Build 1567.6
- Added V1.08 Build 1674 release notes - 5th July 2025
- Added new section to 12.X for Drone autonomy
- Added 1.08 release blog content to "Unstructured Design Notes"
- Updated system requirements for releases since 1.05
- Changed language for text around page 175-185 from French to English (U.S) to align with rest of document - Only for Word doc editors

Thank you overall and thanks specifically for this one. It has vexed me for a couple years.

No problem. A minor change; but one that made a spelling pass much easier!

Point to note for Word doc editors. As content is changed/added/removed the page numbers will need to be refreshed. To do this, before releasing a new version:

Ctrl+A to select all text on doc. Right click and select "Update Field". Select to update all content (page numbers and text). This will refresh all content in the table of contents, cross-references throughout the document and the page footers
