What geographical locations is the game using to calculate the Manchuko Garrison level?

I checked the manual and it referred to the northwest control region. Obviously Manchuko is part of it but there are not enough forces in this region to cover all the unit AV it is calculating.

Korea . . .

It goes by the country code, I do not know the key for this to show up on the map. It probably is in the manual.

I am coming up with a rough calculation of about 6700 AV. Could the Japanese island be involved?


Maybe I am just wrong and missed 2400 AV somewhere. Most likely outcome but I spent all morning putting it into a spreadsheet with 5360 left in Manchuko and approximately 1400 in Korea.

Manchuria has a border. I've always figured anything inside the border is the garrison area....GP

The key to display region is the '4' key.

Also, the map has the border clearly displayed so Manchuria + Korea is 104 & 105

It is part of the garrison which is one reason for the Allies to invade Korea and smash that garrison while having the Soviets ready to play.
