HQ units dropping attachments in Manual mode

Post by HarrySmith »

Hi guys,
Due to HQ units dropping attachments to units, I have been predominantly been using manual attachment. I still find that the HQ units drop attachments on units even though within range of HQ zone of attachment. It seems to occur after the one unit has had multiple attacks against it. I would guess 3 or more. It is hard to know as the replay of opponents turn and when you start your turn and check and see it is no longer attached. Is this a glitch or is it meant to be this way?

That is odd, and off the top of my head I can only think that it would have to do with being out of range, but maybe the retreats, if this is happening to your defending units, is having an effect where it then loses the attachments.

Another aspect to HQs is also going off from auto/assist to plain auto mode. I do find auto/ assist doesn't drop units as much as manual. Definitely the units have been in HQ attachment range.

not sure if it's related, or whether just a visual? But I've noticed that sometimes when you swap units with an HQ they are attached to, then they are shown after as unattached to that HQ (this happens on t1 for example, when you swap the German bombers with the adjacent HQ, but also happens at other points in the game).
