Mask_sprites files : what is their function ?

Post by welk »

2 files in bitmaps directory are named mask_sprites and mask_sprites_zoom. What is exactly their function ?

This is for proper display of some elements in game, e,g, no need to ever modify these as we use it to 'mask' parts of overlays over the hexes for those areas we don't want to appear on a hex.

For example, if you modify these, then things like rivers or some terrain graphics will not appear correctly in game.

Ok, thanks Hubert. My question was because I wanted to erase the grey dark mask on units counters sprites when they have no more action points, but it seems this "grey mask" is hard coded.

EDIT : good news, seems it's not hard coded : this grey mask may be erased (or modified) in the file named "tile_highlight_sprites"
