Ground Strike. E1-Bayonne.
Planning Optimizer (GSTK vs GSPT).
(1) During initial planning I allocated two Ju 87B (5/2=3) bomber wings to the ground strike.
(2) However; after running the numbers through my Ground Strike vs Ground Support optimizer I decided to add a third bomber wing to the ground strike, the He 111(3/2=2).
(6) I guess it pays to follow the numbers.

Execution (Resolution).
(3) If was fortunate that I followed the "numbers" and did add the He 111.
(4) Because, the 2 Ju 87B(5/2=3) both missed both CW MILs.
(5) And it looked like the He 111 was going to miss both too; but the He 111 managed to flip the London MIL on the very last of the six D10 ground strike rolls!

(LC) Attack Planning.
(6) My attack planning tools are only as accurate as the numbers that I feed into them.
(7) I made a critical planning error in the blitz planning.
(8) That error was in the total land combat factors (LCF) of the two CW MIL (6 planned vs 10 actual).
(9) It was a "sloppy" error and one which I did not make above in allocating planes to ground strike vs ground support.
(10) I correctly entered 10 DF (~LCF) in that tool and got out the right numbers.
(11) However; in my LC blitz planning I entered 6 LCF (~DF), which was an error of 85.8% PWIN actual vs 100% planned!
(12) Now, if I had caught this at land combat declaration, I could have aborted the LC; but I didn't catch this error unit the ground support phase at which Germany was committed to the combat.

Land Combat.
(1) Fortunately, Germany rolled well enough; but not so well that it didn't cost them a mot div.
(2) Also, I was surprise that MWIF forced me to take the mot div as the loss as it wouldn't allow me to take the Ge Mtn corps which used their +1 winterized bonus in the blitz.
(3) A forced choice which I actually preferred.
