DC4 - Some questions, hope anyone..

Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive is the fourth wargame in the Decisive Campaign series. Covering the battles in the Ardennes between December 1944 and January 1945, it brings to life Operational wargaming by lowering the scale to just above tactical level.

DC4 - Some questions, hope anyone..

Post by WarGamer1945 »

Since it is very quiet here, I hope someone could please answer some questions.

(1) What does "Supply Move Alternate" in hex info mean?
Supply move AP costs are shown as "Supply Move" in hex info. But what ist "Supply Move Alternate" AP cost?

(2) "Immobile" in hex info?
There is a row at AP movment cost called "Immobile" in hex info. Movement type "immobile"? When it is immobile it can not have any AP cost to move? Any idea for that, doesn´t make any sense to me.

(3) Question - percentage progress bar in counter graphics?
Sometimes there is a percentage value in counter graphics with cyan colored background. Tool tip says "percentage of units participating in the battle". But what factors lead to this? Is it the action points, readiness or something else? Can't find any info on this in the manual

Good questions.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit rusty on the nuances present in the rules as I have not played in a while.
My understanding of the rules is you are correct, the 37% reflects the percentage of selected unit that can participate in an attack or defense.
Sorry, cannot help much with questions 1 or 2. Q2 - check fuel status maybe? Q1 - may have something to do with different ways/routes supply can move about the map.
A search through the Matrix forums may help.

Galeocerdo, thanks for your reply.

Hope anyone can answer my questions..

There's really not much going on here and in the past, some very interesting questions have gone unanswered. nikdav is active and answers quite quickly here, but he is probably mostly concerned with the design of the scenarios.
