Reference: PLA bases and facilities map

Post by Nikel »

Searched for Joseph Wen in the forum but could find nothing, so I suppose it was not posted before.

This student created a map displaying PLA bases and now is about to publish a book on this topic in Chinese. The map apparently is not accessible right now, perhaps because of the publication of the book?

In this site it was transformed into a Google Earth file.

I saw an article somewhere about this book recently. Went perusing to see if there would be an English version; my Chinese not so good. Thanks for posting the link to .kmz file. So much information. Wow.

Apparently the map is accessible again because the book was already published.

It is in Chinese but may be google translated.

In case anyone is interested, I recently made some Import/Export files based on Jaidev's mapping of Chinese facilities in 2023, for the SAMs and radars of the Eastern Theater Command. https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopi ... 2#p5234802

It appears the SAM file will need to be updated, as there is 1 new site near Shanghai and a couple more new ones facing Taiwan. But the radars appear the same.
