1.8.11.27.2

Post by Gratch1111 »

So looking for a new install of the game and dont want to go 28, the new one but stay with the 11.27.

I have found this version stating below in the readme file

WitP:Admirals edition, 5 march 20224 version 1.01.27

Is that 1.8.11.27.2? with the readme file just being old or is there another file to download?

It's not a good idea to use 1128 because it is very beta. But it's getting fixed as far as we know so it will be along sometime - soon hopefully.

Try this link for a 1127 that isn't a problem, or just stay on 1126.

This is news for me! The 11.28 is advertised as the candidate final official version and that no further work is in progress. What did I miss?

They did not say the work is finished, just that they will not accept further ideas/data to include in the update. The had a long period where they accepted input from players, put them into the game and tested their work. They are now in the final stages of testing to make sure there are no major issues with all the changes they made. Given the complex interdependence of the steps in game execution, its like updating dozens of games so it is taking a while.

I see no point in having other versions if you dont have previous games running, I am using 11.28 for first turn planning and testing.

It was or is a candidate for the final patch - however reading the thread with the link to the patch or https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?t=407169 should give you an idea of its actual condition.

Read about it and make your own informed decision.
