Map stretched on 5120x1440 UW screen

Post by stolowski »

Hello,

I previously reported an issue with broken Iwo Jima war map on UW monitor (https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?t=408597) - I'm glad to report that it looks fine now.

However, I noticed 2 more glitches with ultrawide 5120x1440 screen:
- In the full campaign with the zoomed-out map view, the map doesn't maintain aspect ratio and is stretched (it's not an issue with higher zoom levels when hexes and counters are visible)
- In the Iwo Jima campaign with the zoomed-out map view the map is stretched as well but in addition it looks like it's cropped at the top (a small piece of the island at the top is cut off?)

I think that with the maximum zoom level the map should maintain aspect ratio - and either be scrollable, or have black bars to the left/right.

Screenshots (scaled down, originally 5120x1440):

The last screenshot is for reference only - it's all fine with lower zoom level:

We made some improvements here to fix some of the previous issues, but unfortunately in some cases it stretches a bit (no easy way around that at the moment) but the scale should remain consistent, e.g. if you mouse click on an area, it should properly then take you to that part of the map.

I'll see what I can do if anything about the parts that are cropped off
