Can we have it so clicking on a hex selects all the units in that hex?
Thanks.
I second that. while i like the game itself, the UI is terrible. selection of a unit should be in the hex not in a list. right click shows already the units in the hex. maybe keep it as as pop up and then u can select the unit.
I agree. I bought the game a few days ago and sunk many hours into it already. It's instant classic for me tbh. However, it’s hard to deny that the game is simply unfinished… It has very solid foundations, but it’s sorely lacking the polish it needs to fulfill its full potential. What stands out the most is the clunky interface (lacking fundamental information such as total/used MP, selecting all units, random stacking arrangement), which falls short even of low standards, as well as the performance.
To be honest, I hope that (although I’m currently skeptical) the last expansion will focus more on polishing the game or supplementing it with additional (even small) features, such as introducing fire groups across adjacent hexes(top prio along with used MP and selecting all units in the hex - would instantly make game much more playable), new terrain types or enriching infantry combat with new mechanics (to make it even more akin to SL/ASLSK). The game no longer needs new scenarios (like current expansions) — we have a wonderful community for that — but it does need someone with access to the source code, who is both able and willing to continuously improve and refine its core (I know that’s impossible, but I believe making the project open source or having someone from community involved into back-end would be its greatest chance).
Don’t get me wrong — I’m grateful to Peter and Jorgen for creating it and bringing me so much fun and when the expansion comes out, I will definitely buy it. What frustrates me is simply that the game has so much potential, which will probably never be fully realized (though I hope that someday ToTH2 will be made).
