Old post I know but, well, maybe ----- I know Third Reich was converted to a PC game but I have never seen nor heard of this with the much better Advanced Third Reich. What exactly was modded?

Real old posting. Please check out the latest v1.3. Even without the game you can download the files and review the Design Notes I've included.

What was modded? Basically, the map is double-sized to account for no stacking, turns are monthly and not seasonal quarters, and there are standard SC features for HQs, weather, FOW, etc. that are not in the original game. But other than that I've tried to be as faithful as possible to force pools, economics, and diplomacy. And there are variants and other surprises. Plus the AI computer opponent is scripted to be challenging for both Axis and Allies, to include North Africa operations. Good stuff. Enjoy!

Thanks. Advanced Third Reich was a favorite of mine - especially the diplomacy rules - and I was disappointed that Avalon Hill (I think it was still them) decided to convert Third Reich but not advanced Third Reich to PC. From what you said, I assume I need the Third Reich PC game to use your mod. I never did buy it so I am probably out of luck. For the most part, Hasbro has just been sitting on the titles and games they purchased. Maybe on Amazon.

No! This is a mod campaign for Strategic Command WWII War in Europe. It is built using the SC editor and plays like any other SC WWII WIE scenario. Totally different than the old Third Reich PC game. Totally better!! [:D]

Well, this campaign no longer works...doesn't even show up in the menu. I tried to load it into the Editor and got a
' FAILED(on_menu_command): ' Pity as it sounds great. Please let me know if anyone has an idea how to correct it.

Did you place it in the campaigns folder for mods?

Hi Bill and thanks for replying.
Yes, I did. Very strange, nothing shows up in the menu at all and like I said, I tried to open with the Editor (above) and got error concerning a menu_command which would make sense because it's not showing up in the menu. Let me know if you have any ideas.

The only thought is whether both the .cgn file and the folder were placed there?

Yes, I did. Both are in My Games>Strategic Command WWII-War in Europe>Campaigns

I also retraced my steps to ensure I did not do anything wrong unzipping them even though there isn't much to do (LOL!) and tried again but nothing.

It's definitely a puzzle. Unfortunately, I haven't a clue where the problem might be. I did notice the 'Campaign.ini file' has '#CUSTOM_INTERFACE= 0" while most campaigns have it set to one (1) but I've tried changing it and got the same results. So, the only thing I can think of is since they changed the interface, it's possible that the game change since the mod's last release and now simply doesn't work. However, in truth, I've not a clue... Should you think of anything, please drop me a line. Thanks!

Yep! That worked! I truly apologize for not seeing this before (see it now on Page 2) and am very grateful for your assistance. I assume the 'pinned mod list' had the latest version...silly me. Thank you very much for taking the time!
I.O.U. Thanks!
