[RESOLVED][1676] Submarine Tutorial 2.4 time won't pass at all

Steps:
1. Load Submarine Tutorial 2.4
2. Start time.

The time won't go even at 1x speed.

I know that Submarine tutorials are not considered up to date. Still I decided to play through all of them, just to see where they go wrong.

This particular bug does not seem to be scenario specific, so I decided to file a report. I noticed some slowdowns in other sub tutorials from time to time when the game would freeze for a few seconds, but usually with high time compression. My guess is that it's some kind of a sonar calculation short-circuiting.

UPD: I did a long waiting test, to see if the time ever starts flowing and it takes 1 minute and 30 seconds for the scenario to start going on 1x time. And I'm not running it on a complete potato. So I guess it's working. Anyway, maybe such slowness still warrants an investigation by the dev team.

Try with the last beta 1706, also includes new versions of the scenarios.

1706 seems a tad slower, takes my machine more than 1:40 to start running.

Really? I do not see anything strange in any of those builds.

What computer are you using?

Also post your exception log, located in the log folder.

The exception log is mostly empty. See the attached. I've redacted out the computer identifying fields.

The laptop I'm using has a 7th gen i7-7700HQ and GTX 1050 gpu, which should be plenty, right?

Yes, it was checked on, tested again, still noting in the log.

Just as a distant possibility I did a local games files check in Steam and that actually fixed it in both 1676 and 1706.
