Quadcopter with Grenade missed target for 500ft

I close to the target as close as possible with the quadcopter (30-100ft). I see misses between 25ft and 500ft. Actually if you close a target to 50ft how can i misss it then for 500ft? Is this realistic? Should the range of misses not decrease as you get closer to the target?

Should the concept be modified for Quadcopter UAV? For example if you close to 50ft i don't expect any misses more than 50ft away from target....

It is the Quardian # 2 that release the weapon less than 30ft from the target...

I'd say skill issue, but I think it takes considerable skill to achieve that...
