Question re Kull's Spreadsheet

Post by pcdogmaf8 »

I am beginning a new game following Strategy Gaming Dojo's video tutorial. He has suggested using Kull's spreadsheet for Day 2 set up but he does depart from it a few times. He does explain his reasons so that's fine.
I am a bit confused regarding Kull's TF instructions.
Using Adelaide as an example he variously suggests "Create Cargo TF(3). or TF(2), or TF(4) ". I was assuming the number in parenthesis was referring to the numbers of ships in each TF but that cant be correct as there are not enough suitable Cargo ships at Adelaide to conform to those instructions. You would need in excess of 40 and a lot of the ones that are there have insufficient range. Can anyone clarify this number in the brackets for me please?

Cheers

Never used the spreadsheet, sorry.

If you read the Kull's first post here
https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopi ... 7#p2165277
the spreadsheet was created in 2009 and updated in 2017 for Scenarios 1 and 2.

Since 2019, those two scenarios were updated by AndyMac, and the updated scenarios 1 and 2 now ship with standard WITP:AE game.
Thus, you have to assume there may be discrepancies between a scenario 1 or 2 you try to play, and the spreadsheet itself.

No.

In Adelaide, Kull tells you to create four different TFs, which, for purposes of his spreadsheet, are numbered TF 1, TF 2,TF 3 and TF 4. Just add specific ships to specific TFs as per the Kull's instructions.

Thank you Yaab,

Looking at it again with your advice that makes sense. eg TF (4) is going to Brisbane with Aldinga, Aroona, Autolycus, Elisavet, Moonta, Kaiping and Minnipa. Awesome.

Much appreciated.
