Turn 8

9 more Divisions are in the pocket in the Crimea. I don't believe they are going to get relieved & should become POW's then HIWI's :)

Turn 8

I finally realize my NOOB mistake and have to take a RAD out of the Rumanian FBD to repair the one hex of RR that I missed. This is going to cripple the Rumanian FBD to 3 hex conversions instead of 4 hexes per turn converted. DANG that suxs!

Turn 8

VL rail is now connected and have 3 lines going to Leningrad. Now to get the West to East links finished before moving forward. See, EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING depends on rail conversion and redundant links. Just note the South is going to suffer for a bit while I finish the North but I normally do the South during the adverse weather in the North. Thus I finish the North as quickly as I can.

Turn 8

Ground Losses for the turn

205,518 Soviet losses with most being POW's and killed. Staying close to me is going to cost you. How long you going to stay close? I do hope you stay.

Turn 8

OOB

Soviet OOB holding steady at 2.8 but at current rate I should hit the apex around turn 11-13 to start making this go down. We shall see.

Luftwaffe is completely on the map now (I have most Recon in reserve). Next turns I start bombing like crazy even though I have been doing it the last few turns.

Turn 8

Conclusion

Got my nose bloody but nothing that the Germans can't recover from. I wish I had more units in the center but I knew this coming into this strategy that the center would get nothing until after the Crimea and Leningrad is taken. I feel that the Crimea is now 100% doomed to fall in the next 3-5 turns. Leningrad I feel is going to be a fight but I have the Manpower and the leadership in place to overcome whatever the Soviets put up there.

Thank you for asking. Have real life issues going on at home with my pet. Prognosis is not good and it hurts. So I spend all my time at home with him at the moment.

The one good thing is my opponent is on holiday until Oct.

Aww. Best wishes. They are family too, so it does hurt.

Thank you much for your kind words. They are 100% family and I miss him so much :(. He laid on my mousepad as I did my WITE turns. So even playing the game hurts :(

Turn 9

Leningrad area

I move some PZ and MOTO to depots with leaders to refit shown with yellow arrows. Bloody battles here. Railhead pretty much within 3-5ish hexes of front line.

Turn 9

Valdai Hills

I have moved down 3rd PZ to the Valdai Hills, these units are not exactly ready but they are ready enough. Seems to be an over abundance of Soviet units around Leningrad and I hope this will draw off some of those units. Depending on next turn I will bring the other units in 4th PZ down here or recommit those units with 2nd PZ, next turn will tell me.

The Red Arrows are my "hopefull" gains for turn 10/11.
