Ternate history.

Some interesting history of Ternate in the DEI in game:
Fort Tolukko is a historic fort located in the city of Ternate in Indonesia. Built by the Portuguese in 1522, the fort was a strategic military outpost used to protect the region’s lucrative spice trade, particularly cloves, which were highly sought after in Europe.

Those Portuguese engineers had a sense of humor!

I think that you are correct since I see a vulnerability to that outpost unless it is protected from another outpost. It should have a couple of flanking tower bastions on the other end to protect that end of the fort. Otherwise, the enemy might not be able to be swept away before they can reach the battlement.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I doubt it.
