Sultan's Revenge Scenario: Greek forces attacking too early possible bug

I started playing this Standalone Scenario and noticed that even if you don't launch any attack aircraft, the Greeks still attack your Navy. and AEW over Turkish territory. I even restarted and did not launch any AEW and yep the Greeks still go after your Navy regardless if you do nothing.

I read the scenario description and briefing and my understanding is while the Greeks are on high alert, they aren't supposed to be attacking the Turks until they "catch" you attacking? I believe part of the scenario is to try and surprise the Greek IADS to win? Could it be a possible bug with the "trigger" in the scenario? Flagging for review.

The scenario version is from the latest Beta version of CMO. See scenario attached.

Interesting, thank you. I guess I just need to change both postures to neutral in the editor to fix this?

Yes, that should fix it and is the option the designer chose in the last version, note that is one of the things he changed.


From the manual:
 Friendly: Sides will not fire on each other and share contact information and air facilities.
 Neutral: Sides will not fire on each other and do not share sensor information.
 Unfriendly: Sides will not fire each other but will intercept when on patrol missions. They can conduct electronic warfare against each other.
 Hostile: Sides will fire on each other and can conduct electronic warfare against each other.


So in any case, Greece cannot consider Turkey hostile from the beginning as is happening right now.

So super strange, additional issue is occurring where I can't change the posture to neutral for Greece against Turkey. It is like it is permacoded for Greece to stay hostile towards Greece. If you switch Greece to neutral to Turkey, save the changes, and then reload in editor mode the posture switches back to hostile even if you saved originally as neutral.

nvm, found it why. The Greeks have an active strike mission against the Turkish navy (6 targets). So it automatically makes the Turks hostile to Greece

So basically to fix this scenario:
- set both sides to neutral toward each other
- change ASUW Greek mission against the 6 Turkish ships to inactive but put a later activation time based on one's preference (this is to make sure the Turks remain as neutral to the Greeks until the strike starts).

Sorry, I was not right :roll:

Reloaded the last version uploaded by Defencegreece and the postures are:

Greece considers Turkey hostile.

Turkey considers Greece neutral.

Unfortunately he is not active in the forum to clarify.


Now is:

Greece considers Turkey hostile.

Turkey considers Greece unfriendly.


Still Greece considering Turkey hostile from the beginning makes no sense with the description.


Regarding the mission, no idea if it is WAD. The posture should be above any mission?

No worries! Thanks for the help on this. As for the mission settings of the Greek strike, not sure what the issue is. I tried switching it to inactive with the minimum trigger being side is hostile but the mission would never occur. Only solution for me is to make the mission inactive with an activation time several hours into the scenario to keep Greece Neutral for a period of time.
