Is there a way to add an OP fire to one unit?

Gary Grigsby’s World at War is back with a whole new set of features. World at War: A World Divided still gives complete control over the production, research and military strategy for your side, but in this new updated version you’ll also be able to bring spies into the mix as well as neutral country diplomacy, variable political events and much more. Perhaps the largest item is the ability to play a special Soviet vs. Allies scenario that occurs after the end of World War II.

Is there a way to add an OP fire to one unit?

Post by ncc1701e »

Something I don't like is that your bombers can flight on top of one area containing AAA guns without being attacked.

For example, if there are 6 AAA units in Western France, my UK bombers can go to Eastern France, passing Western France with any attack.

Is there a way to add an OP fire on AAA units to attack bombers in such a situation?

Thanks

Maybe for a future official patch?

Historically at the beginning of the war AA guns weren’t effective against bombers flying at high altitude. Later it became a technological race between avoiding flaks and reaching targets.

My guess is that WaW assumes that Bombers could fly high enough to avoid efficient Op-fire against AA guns.

The tactic would be to place combos of AA guns and fighters on buffer regions, although costly for Germany.
