B1728. Redundant map settings

Post by Nikel »

Game drop down menu, there is a map settings that should not be there?

Nothing happens if you click on it.

"ADDED: [QOL] The various map-settings menu options have been duplicated on a dedicated "Map Settings" window (accessible through top menu --> Map Settings --> Map Settings Window). This makes it much faster & simpler to change multiple settings in quick succession. << This is still under evaluation."

Sounds like they are still working through the final design.

Yes, this is currently WAD. Clicking this menu item should bring up the new dedicated map-settings window. We are still trying to decide if the new window is preferrable to the "everything in menu items" paradigm. This is one of the reasons for the public beta.

I like this new map settings window in the map settings + tools drop down, if you are going to create a poll.

But the one I am referring is in the game drop down and does nothing.

Let me cast a vote for YES... please keep this in. This is the biggest QoL improvement I've seen in a long time. The way i play I'm constantly changing these map settings and having this non-modal settings window open on my second monitor is brilliant.

I don't think he's talking about removing it...from my reading.
