Quick question.....This is the result of an Axis unit attacking my Soviet unit but nobody suffered any damage and this display of the Axis unit(s) involved showed this screen and I've searched the glossary for "coop" and no joy. I assume it means "corporates" meaning it's supply situation is in this status as applied to any applicable supply rules. I guess. That's my theory.

In the 5th Air Force 2's 49th Fighter Group squadron there are 44 of 48 Warhawk(late)'s but starting in T48 they will be getting some early model P-38's with the late model showing up in T107. I have no idea what date that will be but it's a while yet.

This is the situation near Rangoon right now. There is the 221st RAF Ftr Grp based at Magwe to help out and as you can see from the arc it can just reach which is a good thing because that might prevent the biplanes getting into a furball. I'd rather my Hurricanes and Spitfires handle that. I don't know when T93 happens during the year(s) but that's when the late model P-47's will start to be built, 15 per turn.

The 49th Aus Inf Bd couldn't attack that jap unit until I dismounted it. When I dismounted it, it shed the 24 each 25 Pounder Gun Shorts, and the 80 Tracked Carriers, as well as the 125 trucks and 33 jeeps. I wander if I'll ever get that equipment/troops back someday. I'll keep you posted.

We are now in February of 1942 ( 15Feb42 ) and it's turning into winter in China but here in the Pacific we're still in the tropics. From what we've lost so far we've still got plenty of units on hand so there's no crisis yet. And next turn's crop of units includes another heavy bomber and some DD's and a British BB ( Ramillies Group ). The battles on Guadalcanal are ongoing.

This is the situation near Singapore right now. I think I see some BB's in that group of Naval equipment. Usually I don't get much damage from Jap attacks for some reason. I have no idea if they can hold on much longer though. They aren't in supply because of the Jap blockade. So far so good.

This is what's happening out in the South Pacific around Port Moresby. The battle is ongoing at Guadalcanal and progress is slow because of the low supply situation. Notice that I've managed to gain an airfield on the north coast of New Guinea. I'm aiming for Rabaul at the end of the day.

I don't know what I was thinking by including the 51st Phil. Inf Div in my latest attack on the Jap unit. It almost killed the Phil. unit outright. It's routed so I can't move it and it's in danger of being wiped out if the Jap attacks him so I need to move some other unit into the hex to protect it. The Phil. unit is unsupplied for some reason so I'll have to evacuate the hex or get it some supply somehow.

My little subchaser took some severe damage on it's latest excursion. It's out of supply, tired, and not especially well trained for it's mission. Instead of parking it at Wewak I'm thinking of moving it to Sydney Australia to sit out the war for about 6 months or so to get repaired, supplied, rested, and better trained. I hesitate to move it until I've moved some other ship first, to soak all the attacks out of the Japanese planes first before moving a bent ship. Also I've put all the in-range fighters on CAP before moving it.

This is what Rangoon looks like on 22Feb42. My British ships are bombarding the Jap attackers to try to help the defense a little bit. This includes BB Revenge Gp, BB Resolution Gp. CA Cornwall, DD Squadron 4 in this group and BB Ramillies Gp. from the hex just north of Rangoon. There are other ships to the far west edge of the city. It's a group of damaged CL's. I need to move them to Colombo to repair etc. Sorry this image looks so busy.

I managed to move some ground units and ships and aircraft safely to the island of Timor just NW of Darwin. The Chinese aircraft unit was all that was available at the time. It's got almost 150 planes of various types so I expect it to survive in that extended position for at least one turn. But it's proficiency is only 41% so I need to monitor it closely to prevent a crisis.

It looks chaotic in China. There's very little supply in most parts of China and the terrain in the south is jungle for the most part and mountainous in the north and to tell you the truth I'm not all that excited about the land war in China. I consider that a sideshow compared to what I'm going to attempt in the South Pacific.

It looks like I got the worst of that outcome loosing more aircraft that the Japs in my attack at Gualalcanal just now. The Japs lost a handful of ground units but I lost too many aircraft. That means I need to rely on the ships and not so much on air power. There's still a lot of Jap equipment to get rid of including tanks.

If you're curious ( like I was ) about what TOAW looks like in 3D mode. I'm disappointed in the representation of the DD as a unit. There must be a way to fix that somehow. Also, I think I see some biplanes at Milne Bay's airfield. I've seen enough to know I don't want to play this way.

I ran into some good news, the 28th Bomb Group is 47/24 B-25's and will transition into the later models like the B-25G's, B-25H's, and B-25J models. Those models are good at skip bombing IRL. I can't wait to see how they perform.

I managed to move some ground units to Santa Isabel island thereby capturing the entire island. Unfortunately, there are no airfields on the island, just the two ports. There are some airfields on New Georgia islands and that will be my next spot to invade. I've got to wrap up operations at Gualalcanal pretty soon. I've got places to go, things to do, important things. But I'm optimistic that I'll be able to handle it because I'm a stable genius, that I will tell you. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I finally remembered to send some AA protection to Midway in case it's attacked from the air. Just in case. It doesn't cost me much and it might make a difference in the future. There's a squadron of PBY's and some cruiser recon planes there. I need to get them a squadron of fighters. Just in case.
