colored dots on counters

Post by pkpowers »

There are 3 colored dots on the unit counters on the map board. The 2 on left side of nato symbol seem to mean organization and strength. Is the one on the right supply? Also what levels colors mean? Cant find info in manual , thanks for any help

Hi, it's the Lines of Communication (LOC) state .
If you right click on a unit, you'll get the unit details pop up.

So beside the (green or amber etc) dot there'll be a LOC icon with e.g. "Supported" beside it.

Just move the cursor over any icon, and it'll explain what each of those icons mean.

It'll show this:

Ground units have one of the following LOCs:
- Supported: unit can trace a short LOC path to its HQ (it is inside the HQ's Green LOC Range).
- Extended Support: unit can trace an extended LOC path to its HQ (it is inside the HQ's Yellow LOC Range)
- Isolated: unit is outside its HQ's LOC range.
- Encircled: unit cannot trace a LOC path to any HQ.

Isolated/Encircled defending units have their Shock halved, and ZOC reduced by one.
