manpower

Post by boldairade »

late 43

germany's manpower has slipped below 50%

will it recover?

i'd assume not producing units is the idea

how fast will it recover?

IIRC the economic panel show the amount of MN it produces each turn.

Not producing and/or not repairing will help it recover faster.

Then again, maybe it is worth it to still be producing lower quality units rather than not producing or producing very little better units. I think depending on the situation, both could be viable option.

However, for late 43, I would try to save MN and bring it up probably.

Also there are some "foreign volunteer" events which add manpower.

You are experiencing what Germany really experienced. But they started losing manpower in 1942.

With lower manpower comes lower experience and eventually no manpower if you take too many hits.

Makes for a challenging game.

for the record, i love the mechanic

it leads to historic strategic choices, and prevents an unrealistic expansion of germany's forces past reasonable size.

it's also kind of fun(and accurate) to have 'police' divisions differentiated from combat formations.
