How to deliver colonists to a city on an island?

Post by kalifriki1 »

I have 400 LP of air bridge supplies, as you can see in the picture. I ordered several buildings, the raw materials have arrived, but I still need workers. When I try to unload them using the Colonize button, I see a message (again, in the picture) that I have less than 5 LP. Can you tell me how to deliver people to increase the city's population( by air bridge)?

it is very simple - you need to increase capacity of air bridge, so it have more lp capacity and once it will haveenough lp generated, you will be able to send colonists there.
but beware, sometimes not enough lp avaivable is not from end (reciver) but from source (shq zone) or booth.

when i firstly noticed lp problem in my game, i ended up increasing lp generated in shq by threetimes to have some free lp.look for bootlenects to see if you have everthing green or not.if not green, you need to improve lp generated there. can include multiple zones.

The arrival point of the colonists needs logistical points.
Maybe you need a makeshift port to generate LP on the island, see the manual:
6.2.6. MAKESHIFT PORT CONSTRUCTION
Only the MTHs are capable of constructing a Makeshift Port for you. You can order them to do so by playing the Makeshift Port Stratagem. Makeshift Ports cost 250 Credits. A Makeshift Port does not allow many Logistical Points to use its loading & unloading facilities, but it is operated with minimal MTH staff and as such it does not require any of your Workers or Population. If it concerns a “No Zone” Hex the Makeshift Port Stratagem allows the formation of a new Zone and for you to send Colonists. After you have some Workers in place you can then Nationalize the Makeshift Port into a regular Port.

6.2.6.1. PORTS AND ZONE CREATION
In order to facilitate amphibious operations and allow Regimes to send Colonists to beachheads to build Assets there is a new Zoning rule. Any Port that finds itself isolated and without a Zone will create a Zone itself. This also happens immediately after using the Makeshift Port Stratagem (if no Zone is present).

i dont want to break zour fun, but op listed he is using air bridge for supply, not naval tranport, so expanding port/creating makeshift port dont do anything.

Increasing the air bridge's capacity is useless; to use "Colonize," you need at least 5 AP/100 colonists in Manion.

You have two options besides creating a makeshift port that would grant AP:

With a new SHQ:
1. Select Manion->Raise Form: New SHQ;
2. Set zone Manion->SHQ2;
1. Air bridge from SHQ1->Manion (5 points/100 colonists).
2. Transfer->Select SHQ1 target SHQ2->transfer colonists;
3. Select SHQ2->colonize (works when SHQ2 is in the city and therefore does not require AP).

Without SHQ:

Send militia/troops via airbridge->disband. They will integrate into the population and can become workers if they wish.

if airbridge dont bring lp, then it is good for exactly what ? only transporting units ? doest it tranport material or not ?
i didnt used airbridge to much, so it was my thoughts that it works same way as naval transport, but obviously it is different.

From manual
Air Bridges can be used for:
§ Supply to Unit (SHQ can disable)
§ Supply to Zone (SHQ can disable)
§ Pickup from Zone (but not Maximum Storage) (SHQ can disable)
§ Strategic Move Mode (either as Air Landing or Air Evacuate)
§ SHQ->SHQ Transfer
§ Replacement Troops buying (auto-replacements do not work through Air Bridges)
