Full Scenario archive download

Post by ColRosenberger »

UPDATE 2025-10-22 - Full archive has been uploaded. See below for details.

Hello guys,

The creative output of this community has been really impressive, with so much quality content produced.

I'm concerned for the longevity of this user-generated content, since interest for the game is waning and a there's a real risk of file loss if either the Matrix forums have a problem or the ~15% files that are on other hosting inevitably disappear. Some files are already lost. Also, it's a huge pain to hunt down individual files as forum attachments, sometimes through multiple links or wrong links. So, I've compiled for my own use a full (450mb) archive of all Tiger on the Hunt scenarios, maps, mods and player aids as of today - based on the pinned threads at least, maybe some hidden file in a post somewhere eluded me.

It has an html file from which you can "download" your local files, making it enormously more usable than a plain pile of zip files.

I was wondering if anyone had an objection to my uploading the archive to some durable storage that's won't hide the download if too many people get it, such as Nexus Mods? I'd be a pity to have invested the work but not be able to share it.

To whet your appetite I'm joining to this post a preview of the Table of Contents file only, without the downloads (UPDATE: TABLE OF CONTENTS ONLY, SEE BELOW FOR FULL DOWNLOAD): ---

UPDATE 2025-10-22 - Full archive upload

Alright, with this thread open for more than one year and Peter's endorsement, I think it's safe to say the community wants this, so there you go, the full archive:

2024-03-25 Tigers on the Hunt Scenarios, Maps, Mods and Player Aids Archive 1.0
2024-03-25 Tigers on the Hunt Scenarios, Maps, Mods and Player Aids Archive.zip
SHA-256 F02733E5A0F9B5005EA97993DAD3F6A9DC1DBBF7DD3C6FA9A39038C9CB3A1543
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Qrz7PD ... drive_link

How to use: Extract the whole thing to a folder of your choice, and use the included html file to browse the content, links are clickable and give you an alternate way to browse and "download" the local zip files.

I would request that the first downloaders mirror the file to other upload sites and/or set up a torrent for longevity, since Google Drive can be stingy on bandwidth. People can verify that mirror have the same file as me by computing the SHA-256 hash of the file they downloaded and verifying it matches the one I posted above.

Note that I take no responsibility for the contents of the mods, since all I did was archive all the mods I could find on this forum without exhaustively checking their contents. At least, my antivirus seems to think the whole archive is safe.

If you want to improve, update and reupload this archive, be my guest, you don't need permission.

As one of the Tigers on the Hunt scenario designers and early on play testers I am liking that idea a lot for long term storage stability, keep going!

You are right, the following for the game today isn't what it once was back in 2016 thru 2019 but there are still a few of us "old timers" that com back to the game on occasion just to see what is going on and maybe quietly play into the wee hours of the night enjoying our past love for this gem of a game.

I just did a dump around Christmas 2023 of some new scenarios that I converted from existing ASL scenarios. Perhaps you saw it in the Scenario section?

I often said Tigers on the Hunt (TotH) is not ASL but it's damn close and still one of my top five go to games!!

Hi ColRosenberger,

I'm the developer of TotH, I did the development while Jorgen provided consulting, testing and worked on all the scenarios and campaigns of the game. I still check the forum every other day. I have to say, it's a great idea what you are doing...thank you!

Cheers,

Peter

PS: Nice to see you around John!

Hopefully the archive project can be public or a Dropbox shared folder.

One awesome improvement that I didn't have patience for would be to beautify the html file by incorporating pictures of the various mods (harvested from the Submitted Mods thread) into the archive and displaying them in the html.
