Might I have caught a whiff of corruption in the Luftwaffe? There are no flight logs or client books!

Re: Quick Questions Thread
I just see when I hit AUTO AIR AI during the movement phase that I flew 10 air supply missions out of "Urban Konigsberg". That's nice. But I want to know where were they flying those supplies to? Is there any way to know? I checked both the F11 view, and the CR-Battles.

Commanders Report, Battles Tab. There must be something like "Supplies/Air Supplies" as battle event.MarkShot wrote: Sat Oct 25, 2025 2:50 pm I just see when I hit AUTO AIR AI during the movement phase that I flew 10 air supply missions out of "Urban Konigsberg". But it is telling you where they flew out of, and not where they flew to.
I would have to manual do the missions to answer that.

Would be new to me, normally the markers on MAP show where the freight landed/was dropped.

Asking this for purposes of the Guards Cap.......
Is a MECH unit considered, for purposes of the Cap, an ARMOR unit or MOTORIZED unit?

Re: Quick Questions Thread
Supplied units across the Kerch straight that are unconnected by land don't seem to be able to attach support units.
Is there a rule that for SUs there has to be a land link to the rail network ?

Unisolated Odessa (only isolated by land) you can also not send in SUs from STAVKA, IIRC.tyronec wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 3:08 pm Supplied units across the Kerch straight that are unconnected by land don't seem to be able to attach support units.

You can attach SUs from their HQ once it is on ship and "touches" the coastline of the "pocket".

Re: Quick Questions Thread
AFAIK, it's neither. Mech is its own formation type, so it has its own guards cap. Because of this, just from a numbers standpoint it's easier to create more guards mech corps with a guards mech and guards motor brigade than two mech brigades since they each have a unique cap, being two formation types.Q-Ball wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 1:33 pm Asking this for purposes of the Guards Cap.......

Thanks! Then what is the % Cap for MECHANIZED units?M60A3TTS wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 5:52 pmAFAIK, it's neither. Mech is its own formation type, so it has its own guards cap. I do not see this mentioned at all in the Rules, and I don't recall seeing MECH as one of the categories on teh Guards Cap screen

In all cases, though, you can "Push" an SU down one level. For example, I have pushed an SU from a Front HQ in Kerch to an Army HQ in Sevastopol.

You can 'push' SUs across to Lenningrad when it is cut off.

This anomaly has been there for ever and a day and wouldnt be surprised if it is responsible for some strange combat results.tyronec wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 3:08 pm Supplied units across the Kerch straight that are unconnected by land don't seem to be able to attach support units.

Luckily HQs have lots of movement points so I move the HQ across the strait, load up with fresh SUs and then move the HQ back to Kerch.

Re: Quick Questions Thread
I had in mind that the Florian Geyer cavalry division was part of the "active" German OB in November 1942 and stayed until 1944 or so. Now playing the GC, I wondered why it was not coming, so I checked where it was and discovered it in the Eastern front Garrison. Is this intended (but why would it feature in games starting in 1942?) or did I send inadvertently its predecessor to a Garrison and cannot get it back?

Re: Quick Questions Thread
In the 41 campaign, the precursor brigade is sent to the garrison box on turn 4 (it converts to a division in 1942), where it stays until it goes to the Balkans 3 years later. It may be treated differently in later scenarios, as scenario authors have some leeway to make minor adjustments as they see fit based on information they have. It looks like there was a period in 1943 when it was actively fighting on the front, but for the most part, it seems it was doing rear area security.

Understood, thanks
Re: Quick Questions Thread
There used to be an exploit where the Soviet player could build airborne brigades, convert them to divisions and then build more brigades - thus circumnavigating the build limit.
Has this been removed in one of the patches or is it still there ?

Re: Quick Questions Thread
Still there. An interesting option is to just ignore the guards division builds entirely and max out the airborne divisions towards the end of 1942. Then convert the airborne brigades to airborne divisions and you get close to 30 airborne divisions that themselves not too bad.

Re: Quick Questions Thread
The last update altered the build limit for airborne brigades, so new games should no longer have this exploit.
