At last!

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

At last!

Post by iPlayer63 »

I am very glad that the Spanish Civil War is being represented in a game of such magnitude by a prestigious company like yours. I am Spanish, and unfortunately, there has not been much interest from wargame companies in our Civil War so far, despite its great historical importance.
From the screenshots I have seen, I would like to make a couple of observations: first, the Nationalist and Republican flags look so similar on the map that they are easily confused, and since there is one per hex, the result is visually quite chaotic. Second, the units icons shown in the information boxes remind me games from more than 30 years ago. I believe that, in general, players prefer more visually appealing graphics — for example, something in the style of "East Front".
The map is impressive. If I can be of any help with the language, I would be delighted to assist.
Thanks.

Hi, iPlayer63

There will be a graphical option to change the flags on the map locations to red and blue flags...You know, the colors of each side.

The flags on the unit cards are also being considered for change.

A Spanish version of the manual would also be a very nice touch.

I would like to take part in this project in some way. I may not be the best beta tester in terms of gameplay mechanics (although I am an experienced wargamer), but I could contribute in other areas — historical accuracy, period images and photographs, and interface elements with proper writing in my language. I believe that having people from the country itself, who are well-informed, can contribute their own small but valuable part to the project.
If I can be of help, I would not mind at all, as I have plenty of free time ;)

Thanks, iPlayer63.

The game is already in a state that needs few changes before release. However, there will be necessary updates and likely some addons in the coming months. Everything can be improved and it is constantly evolving in this new engine.

So we have taken note of your offer ;)

I’m afraid I cannot offer my services to contribute to this new promising game, but…

I am more than happy to help in the full restoration of the unjustly maligned Holy Spanish Inquisition!
