Planes against land units

Post by AllterEg0 »

Hi
i use a lot of ground attack aircraft in game. but i am frustrated in that unless i see a number value on enemy unit to inform me damage done. or a red arrow down to indicate loss of operation. nothing else is shown if the attack had any actual effect.

I know it had an effect if i see a red arrow or a number value. but what about the other attacks? when no number value is shown or would the unit suffer further operation cost with further attacks?

because i cannot see the effectiveness of an enemy unit. it is hard to tell if other ground attacks actually achieved anything. or if just a waste of oil and the planes own effectiveness.

thanks

If you mean ground strikes they have diminishing returns. You can only bomb a unit so much.

It is purposely made to where you don't know if the unit was interdicted for movement or not. This is part of the fog of war.

In general 1-2 ground strikes is good, 3-4 is wasteful unless you want to take some sort of static location like Sevastapol 2-3 turns before a major offensive.

Ground strikes lower effectiveness and don't score hits as much as ground combat
